Every review on Adult Reviews Ninja follows the same process. Here is what we look at, how much each factor counts, what a score means, and how we handle affiliate relationships and corrections, so you can decide how much weight to give our verdicts.
How we research a review
Our reviews are research-based. For every brand we cover, the editorial team compares:
- Pricing: the published prices, token or credit bundles, subscription tiers, renewal terms and any limits on free use.
- Features: what you get for free, what costs extra, device and browser support, and how the service is meant to be used.
- Payment and privacy policies: billing descriptors where they are published, accepted payment methods, data handling, account deletion and cancellation terms.
- User feedback: recurring patterns in publicly available user reviews and community discussion. We look for patterns, not single anecdotes.
- Hands-on use, where noted: if a review is based on our own use of a product or account, the review says so explicitly. If it does not say so, assume the review is based on the research above.
We do not run laboratory tests, and we do not publish statistics we cannot source. When we give a number (a price, a resolution, a token rate), it comes from the provider’s own published information or from the review itself, and it may change after publication.
How scores work
Each review type has a fixed set of criteria with fixed weights. Each criterion is rated from 0 to 10, and the overall score is the weighted average, rounded to one decimal. A score is only published when we have enough information to rate every criterion. If we don’t, the review is published without a score.

Cam directories that don’t host shows themselves (for example, cross-network search sites) are rated on search quality, coverage, transparency and privacy rather than on show pricing.

Dating and lifestyle services are rated on the same principles: pricing and value (25%), member base and matching features (25%), privacy and safety tools (20%), ease of use (15%), and billing and cancellation terms (15%). Our Kasidie review applies these criteria to a lifestyle social network.
What a score means

Some older reviews use a five-star rating. We are moving all reviews to the 10-point scale above as they are updated. Scores in comparison articles are directional: they show how two services compare to each other on the same criteria.
Independence and affiliate policy
Adult Reviews Ninja is reader-supported. Some links on the site are affiliate links: if you sign up or buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are marked rel="sponsored" and are explained in our Affiliate Disclosure.
- Affiliate relationships may influence which brands we choose to cover, but they never change a score or a ranking. Brands cannot pay for a higher score or a better position.
- Scores are set by the editorial team using only the criteria on this page.
- If we cover a brand we have no affiliate relationship with, it is scored exactly the same way.
- Sponsored or paid content, if we ever publish it, is labelled clearly within or next to the content.
- Free access or review samples, if provided, are disclosed in the review and do not change the scoring.
How we keep reviews up to date
- Every review shows the date it was last updated at the top of the page.
- We aim to revisit major reviews (top-rated platforms and best-of guides) at least once a year, and sooner when a provider changes its pricing, features or policies.
- When an update changes a score, the review explains what changed.
- Prices and offers change often. Always check the current price on the provider’s own site before you pay.
Corrections and feedback
If you spot an error, an outdated price or a policy that has changed, please tell us through our contact page. Include the page URL and what needs correcting. Verified corrections are made as quickly as possible, and the “last updated” date is changed to match. Brands can also use the same page to report factual errors. We will correct facts, but we do not change opinions or scores in return for payment.
